Berryhill Baja Grill hosted its second annual World Tamale Eating Championship on Saturday, May 5 during Fiesta Universal at Market Street in The Woodlands, TX at 7:00pm.
After a big St. Pat's victory and an impressive showing at the Nathan's Las Vegas Qualifier, everyone felt Pat Bertoletti would have walked away with the Berryhill Baja Grill Tamale Eating Championship. Everyone except Joey Chestnut.
The American hot dog champ won Saturday's classic at The Woodlands outside of Houston. He downed 53.5 tamales to Bertoletti's 51. "What about" Bob Shoudt took third place with 45. Viva Mexico.
