Some of the world’s finest Major League Eaters converged in Lewisville, TX, on September 1 for the World Tamale-Eating Championship. This contest will be part of the Maverick Bancshares Western Day in Old Town Lewisville, which has been a popular event in the area for many years. The competition tamales were once again provided by the Dallas Tortilla and Tamale Factory.

X ate 71 tamales in 12 minutes to set a new Lewisville and World record.

LeFevre placed second with 51 despite his bad tooth. Mongo Marquez took 3rd with 27.
