On August 27, Major League Eaters will gather at the 20th Annual Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off in Sparks, NV for the 3rd Annual World Rib Eating Championship.
Joey Chestnut has walked away with the title two years in a row, but last year's event was perhaps most memorable for a heroic performance by Rich LeFevre. The Locust broke his left front tooth in the course of the contest, but kept on eating to come in a victorious third place. The remnants of the tooth are thought to have been swallowed.
Registration for this event is now closed.
The contest will begin at 6:00pm.
