The Notorious B.O.B. was once again the Victorious B.O.B. after eating nearly 5 pounds of ribs in 10 minutes at the Isle of Capri Hotel and Casino in Lula, MS. Shoudt defeated #1-ranked Joey Chestnut who flew in from San Jose with the intentions of bringing back the title. Chestnut's total of 3 lbs 9 oz was more than a pound off Shoudt's mark.
A host of top-ranked Major League Eaters were in attendance including #17-ranked Sean "Flash" Gordon who finished in third place with 3 lbs 5 oz. In what some would consider an upset, Flash edged out Eater X by just 3 oz to take home $500.
Prior to the contest, Beautiful Brian serenaded the Isle Lula crowd with a tribute performance to The King of Rock & Roll.
