Shattering the previous record of 26 shared by Cookie Jarvis (2005) and Eater X (2006), #2-ranked Pat Bertoletti put his own stamp on opening day at New York's Figli di San Gennaro by eating 32 cannoli in just 6 minutes.
In the throwback event where no prize money, but rather only pride, is on the line, Bertoletti ravaged through cannolis at a pace never before seen to collect his 36th world eating record.
Finishing in second place with half of Bertoletti's total was Badlands Booker. Booker serenaded the Little Italy crowd with a few beats before the contest.
Crazy Legs Conti, sporting a USS FITZGERALD cap to honor the troops he ate in front of earlier in the summer, celebrated a decade at the Cannoli Eating World Championship table.
Caffe Palermo provided more than 100 cannoli for the contest.
