The GoldenPalace.net World Grilled Cheese Eating Championship circuit continued on Oct. 14 at the South Carolina State Fair in Columbia, SC.
Badlands Booker put on a strong performance, eating 24 1/2 grilled cheese sandwiches to win $1,000 and a chance at the $20,000 GoldenPalace.net final purse.
Placing second in the contest was Hall Hunt, with 17 GC sandwiches to win $500, and placing third was Don Schaeffer to earn $250.
A crowd of 1,000 gathered at the WLTX CBS Stage to witness the event.
