This initiative is part of a $50,000 fundraising campaign, ifoceGIVES, to assist hunger-related and disaster-relief charities in the United States and beyond. As part of the ongoing fundraising campaign, donations from the IFOCE, eating contests sponsors, fans and IFOCE eaters will be distributed to respected hunger charities that provide food and disaster-relief assistance within the United States and throughout the world. The IFOCE is matching donations up to $10,000.

The initiative will be overseen by former IFOCE Commissioner Michael DeVito, who has assumed the role of IFOCE Director of Philanthropy. In his new role, DeVito will expand the reach of IFOCE hunger-related efforts, increasing volunteering at food banks and food kitchens and seeking donations of food and financial resources to support charities.

IFOCE charitable efforts already have helped benefit America’s Second Harvest, The Joey Fund for Cystic Fibrosis, Joan’s Legacy and numerous food banks throughout the United States.
