Thomas Maine Lobster Eating Champion
Sonya Thomas broke her own world lobster-eating record, consuming 11.3 pounds of Maine lobster meat, the equivalent of 44 lobsters, in 12 minutes to win the World Lobster Eating Contest in Kennebunkport, Maine.
Crazy Legs Conti, who last year showed excellence in this discipline, placed second with 6.7 pounds, or 32 lobsters. Badlands Booker ate 5.1 pounds, or 25 lobsters, to place third.
The event was hosted by John Hathaway, founder of the world Lobster Eating Festival and proprietor of the Simply Maine Lobster Company.
