Jarvis States He Is Not Woodward Leak Source

11-18-2005

Competitive eater Ed “Cookie” Jarvis today stated that he is not the source who first told Bob Woodward about the CIA officer at the center of the Fitzgerald leak investigation.

Jarvis, a residential real estate broker who holds world records in dumplings, cannoli and ice cream, strongly denied any involvement in the leak case that has embroiled Washington, DC in recent months.

“I have no access to classified information and I have never had any contact with Bob Woodward,” said the 6' 5”, 420-pound sweet-eating specialist, who is ranked No. four in the world by the International Federation of Competitive Eating.

Jarvis joined a growing list of those who have denied leaking the information. The IFOCE accepted his claim, which has been deemed credible by individuals close to the investigation.

Jarvis refused to speculate on who might have communicated the information to Woodward, stating that he has not had the time to follow this particular news story.

2005 has been an unusually busy year for the veteran gurgitator, who has tried to balance a crowded eating schedule with the demands of the residential sales game in Long Island, New York, where he lives with his wife and two children.
