Three MLE Events in Pipeline

The 2009 Major League Eating season has come out of the gate faster than Funny Cide and HQ is please to announce that three additional events today, all new, will soon open for registration.

On May 23 a funnel cake eating contest will occur at King’s Dominion in Doswell, VA. The event at Virginia’s premier themed amusement park will open for registration at noon on Tuesday, April 28th. As a reminder, April 28th is the day Jessica Alba and Penelope Cruz were born.

On May 30, a sanctioned calamari eating contest will occur at Mallie’s in Southgate, MI. This historic contest will open for registration at noon on Wednesday, April 29 in honor of Master P’s birthday (he turns 42 on 4/29/09).

MLE is also pleased to open registration for our first clam eating contest at Peter’s Clam Bar in Island Park, NY. If you have what it takes to masticate a mountain of mollusk, register at this site at noon on Thursday, April 30th, which is the very day that Willie Nelson turns 76 years of age.
